Hope Blooms is organizing donation efforts to help Mark & Jennifer Edling
January 20th, 2010......will never be forgotten by our family. Mark was injured while helping a friend build a pole shed up in Cross Lake, MN. He fell approximately 8 -9 ft off a pallet on the forks of a forklift. His injuries are life changing......he is currently diagnosed as a complete quadriplegic. He broke his neck at his C-7 & T-1. His spinal cord was crushed, however it's not severed or leaking any spinal fluid. A "complete" quad means that everything is completely paralyzed below the level of injury, which is currently from his armpits & lower. He had surgery January 21st, 2010 to repair his broken neck & spent 3 weeks, 2 weeks of being in an induced coma, in ICU at North Memorial in Robbinsdale, MN. Mark & I are currently in Denver, CO at a specialty hospital called Craigs Hospital. (We are expecting to be here until mid to the end of May, could be longer if Mark experiences any "setbacks or illnesses"). They specialize in spinal cord injuries & brain injuries. He's got the best of the best for a medical team......we just keep hearing that it's "too early to know long term diagnosis"......so with that said, we continue to have Hope......Hope in our Lord & Savior......that He knows the plans for Mark.....for us....for our family.....& most importantly Mark's future........
We PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) daily......& TRUST that daily, God will provide Mark, Madelynn, Montanna, McKenna & myself what we need to get through the day & we TRUST in the HOPE of the words laid out for us in the bible.......
"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and HOPE are in God".....1 Peter 1:21
"Now faith is being sure of what we HOPE for and certain of what we do not see".......Hebrews 11:1
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the HOPE of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, HOPE. And HOPE does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us"..........Romans 5:1-5
"But as for me, I watch in HOPE for the Lord, I wait for God my savior; my God will hear me".........Micah 7:7
"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have HOPE: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those whose HOPE is in him, to the one who seeks him........Lamentations 3:21-25
"But those who HOPE in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"..........Isaiah 40:31
"We wait in HOPE for the Lord; he is our help and our shield"......Psalm 33:20
............we are HOPE ing and praying daily for one of God's miracles to be bestowed on our family.......that Mark will walk again.....and through that miracle, God will again be glorified for his wondrous and miraculous ways.
